Day 1: Nairobi to Lake Bogoria
You shall drive for an estimated one and a half to two hours through the scenic Mau Escarpment and down to the Rift Valley floor. You will be stopping briefly at the famous viewpoint to marvel at nature’s scenic offering of the Great Rift floor and the almost overflowing lakes. You will drive past Naivasha towards Lake Nakuru, then onwards towards Lake Bogoria. You will arrive in time for lunch at Lake Bogoria Spa Resort, followed by an afternoon visit to the hot springs.
The scenery around Lake Bogoria is stunning, offering a breathtaking sight to visitors. The hot springs are ideal for bathing and are excellent natural spas for the visitors. At Lake Bogoria, you can enjoy the scenic settings, the boiling geysers, and hot springs. Lake Bogoria is considered to be one of the most beautiful lakes in Kenya and is situated in the Rift Valley. Sometimes, it is home to the world’s largest populations of lesser flamingos. The lake is well-known for its geysers and hot springs along the bank of the lake and in the lake. Dinner and overnight is at Lake Bogoria Spa Resort.
Day 2: Lake Bogoria - Lake Baringo - Nairobi
After breakfast, you have a chance to visit the nearby Lake Baringo to explore the lake in a boat (optional). Lake Baringo is one of a number of lakes that form part of the East African Rift system. The Tugen Hills, an uplifted fault of volcanic and metamorphic rocks lies west of the lake, while the Laikipia Escarpment lies to the east. It is one of the two fresh-water lakes in the Rift Valley (the other being Lake Naivasha). Later on, you will drive towards Nakuru where you'll stop over for some lunch along the way as you proceed back to Nairobi.
